Culross Funds S.A. SICAV-RAIF is an Alternative Investment Fund under AIFMD and is managed by Culross Global Investment Management Limited, an AIFM.
The Culross Group have structured their funds on this platform which enables AIFMD compliant distribution across Europe including Switzerland with Swiss Representative and Swiss Paying Agent. In addition to running their own funds Culross make this platform available to third party investment managers looking for European AIFMD product access. Third party funds can have multiple currency classes, several portfolio managers and a choice of NAV publication frequency.

With their long experience Culross have built institutional grade processes to underpin the fund platform and have appointed first tier service providers to support all platform operations. For example, Luxembourg regulations require a RAIF to appoint a full Depositary and this role is performed by UBS Europe SE, Luxembourg Branch.
Culross is the risk manager to all funds on the platform. Culross offers a tailored risk management approach to address the needs of third party funds and documents these in written policies and procedures. The independent risk management function is led by Culross' Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and supported by the risk management committee. The committee monitors the level of risk being taken to ensure compliance with AIFMD, the fund's investment objectives and risk limits.
The CRO reports to the Board of Directors at every board meeting and presents a full suite of reports with observations and analytics which are actively reviewed and discussed by the experienced Board.

John has been a member of the Board since its inception. He is a director of Stonehage Fleming Luxembourg S.A. and is admitted as a South African Advocate and as a Solicitor of the courts of England and Wales. He was previusly a director of Maitland Luxembourg. Mr Mills holds Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws degrees from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa.
Alanna has been a member of the Board since its inception. She has over thirty years’ experience in trust and estate administration, estate planning and trust and estate litigation. She was a director of Trust & Corp Sec Limited (TCS) and is based in Dublin. Prior to joining TCS, Ms. Woods was employed by the Maitland Group for 6 years and before that with Deutsche Bank New York for almost 10 years as in-house lawyer for their Private Wealth Management division and also two major New York City law firms.
Nigel has been a member of the Board since 2001. He is the CIO and founder of the investment manager. Nigel began his career in 1980 as a fixed income portfolio manager at INA Insurance (latterly CIGNA). In 1986, he became Head of Fixed Income, managing $3.5bn and leading a team of 24 employees. In 1989, Nigel was appointed CIO of newly-founded Century Asset Management, where he managed bond portfolios and traded futures, options and FX according to a global macro absolute return methodology. Mr Blanshard graduated with a BA Honours degree and MA from Gonville & Caius College, University of Cambridge.
